Moorestown, NJ (August 16, 2019) – Capstone Performance Systems, a subsidiary of Tabula Rasa HealthCare (NASDAQ:TRHC), announced that its Senior PACE Consultant Dorothy Ginsberg, RN, received the Philadelphia Inquirer’s 2019 Influencers of Healthcare award on Thursday, August 15, in Philadelphia. The Award honors “Philadelphia’s leading healthcare professionals who go above and beyond to improve the collective health of our City and strive to make a difference in their patients’ lives.” Ginsberg was recognized in the Nurses of the Year category.
As a consultant for Capstone Performance Systems, Ginsberg works with pre-operational PACE (Programs of All-inclusive Care for the Elderly) organizations from application through ongoing operations, including survey preparation, regulatory guidance and best practices training. Ginsberg has provided consulting services to over 25 PACE programs in 15 states.
“Dorothy is responsible for starting PACE in the State of New Jersey and she serves as an advisor to organizations across the nation on starting and operating their own PACE programs,” said Calvin H. Knowlton, PhD, CEO and Chairman of TRHC. “She has had a significant impact on the lives of thousands of our elderly community members and their families. We’re pleased that she is being publicly recognized for her contributions.”
Prior to joining Capstone Performance Systems in 2018, Ginsberg served as a Senior PACE Consultant for Altitude Edge Consulting. She previously led the development and implementation of PACE in New Jersey as an Administrator with the state’s Department of Health and Senior Services. In that role, she worked closely with new PACE programs to provide technical assistance and ongoing oversight as they operationalized their programs. Additionally, Ginsberg chaired the NJ Caregivers Best Practices conference and was a member of the Governor’s Stakeholders Task Force on the Olmstead Supreme Court decision, which reaffirmed the rights of persons with disabilities to live in the community.
Ginsberg is trained by the End-of-Life Nursing Education Consortium to bring palliative and end-of-life services to other healthcare settings and is a sought-after presenter on home and community-based long-term care. In 2011, she was the recipient of the National PACE Association’s Public Service Award.
