The CareVention EHR/Integrated Technology team meets weekly with the CareVention Consulting team to review regulatory updates ahead of changing compliance needs. One standing agenda item is the CMS 2024 proposed rule. The combined team is carefully reviewing the proposed rule for any areas where the EHR may need to be updated.
The team has identified several areas needing attention:
- Service delivery
- IDT responsibilities
- Plan of care
- Grievance process
- SDRs/SDR notifications
- Maintenance of medical record
Since the final rule has not yet been decided, no development changes have begun. However, the most significant changes appear to be in relation to the plan of care. Once a tentative development plan for the proposed changes is drafted, the CareVention EHR team will share the plan with clients.
